In addition to his party, I really wanted to make a big deal out his actual BIRTH DAY – May 30th – too. I would have loved to have taken off work to spend the day with him, but it didn't work out that way. We made the morning special with birthday pancakes & the "Happy Birthday" song! He seemed to love it!
When we got home, we gave him his first cupcake (thanks aunt Britt!) – before dinner! We got such a kick out of watching him try to figure it out & it proved to be good practice for his birthday cake!
