Last Thursday I packed an overnight bag & headed to Nashville for a visit with these precious kiddos & their sweet momma! We didn't do too much {which was wonderful}, but we did catch up BIG TIME! Even just one night & one day together did my heart so much good!
Kate & I share a birthday, so when she reached the monumental "ONE YEAR" a couple weeks ago it was killing me that I still had yet to get my hands on her! Drews (3 years old) & Kate were still up when I arrived in Franklin on Thursday night, and when I walked in the door Kate came straight to me. Talk about melting your heart! Both kiddos were just as sweet as could be & Drews has grown up so much since I saw him last April. Rach & I snuck out {after the kid went to bed} for some catch-up time over dinner. We ended up staying until the restaurant shut down, went back home and stayed up talking until early in the a.m. SO fun!
On Friday we ventured out to Downtown Franklin for some lunch at The Franklin Mercantile and some window shopping around the square. The weather was perfect! When we got back to the house we played a little & talked some more before saying our dreaded "goodbyes."
I can say with certainty that I will be back to Nashville/Franklin sooner than later & that the span of time between visits will be less than the last. Thank you, Rach, for letting me visit and spend time with you & your babies – I loved our time together & can't wait to see you again!
