This is the all important draft pick board that is unveiled at the invite-only pre-draft party Friday night before the draft. This year marked the 5th annual Lawrence Dawsey Invitational Fantasy Football season. Friday night the draft order is determined at random. I've successfully managed to have one of the top three picks every year. This year was no different, as a I scored the number three pick.

Here is league commissoner Jay Robinson presenting last year's champion Bowen Thaggard with his championship trophy. The trophy presentation was followed by a hall-of-fame-like speech from Bowen. The only thing missing was a yellow sport coat, and of course a good speech writer. I've got to give Bowen some props, he had a good team.

A league of studs. Plain and simple.

Here is the draft board before the draft starts. As you can see we are pretty serious. It becomes a thing of beauty by the time the draft is completed.

We always have a great set-up during the draft, complete with our own table & complimentary popcorn.

Costumes are encouraged on draft day. Whatever it takes to channel the intensity.

Here is the set up, post draft. You can see the detail of it all. Positions are color coordinated. You can see how my draft ended up having the third pick. At the top of each column you can see each of the team names. I am know as "The Boss." I decided to name my team after my godfather Bruce Springsteen.

This is where the magic happens. The Boss' work station. Nothing but blood, sweat, tears, and a ton of football knowledge. Champions live here.

Here is the after draft dinner with Callie Counts and my amazing wife. She is very supportive, and has a great attitude considering it's a complete weekend surrounding fantasy football.

Brian is the Susan Lucci of Fantasy Football. And Kristen, you are a nicer wife than I. :) Here's to winning this year!
