This lady is on the brink of turning the big THREE-O! {just 17 days from today, to be exact} On Saturday we kicked-off the next couple weeks of celebrating with a 30th Birthday Party in her honor. After all, there are 2 kinds of people in life: 1) those who love a birthday, and 2) everybody else. I/we love a birthday. And a party.
here's the birthday girl in all her glory. 29 years old on the left, 8 years old on the right. {you may notice that she has her hair behind her ears in the picture on the right. we were told this was because she had just gotten her ears pierced and was showing them off.}

a sub-category for those who love a party is "those who love to decorate & plan a party," which is where i fall.
{side note: this post contains a lot of pictures, mainly because my mother-in-law is on a mission trip & dying to see them...}

the dining room spread
{side note here: beth is often my party planning partner & has just as much fun with the theme, food and details as i do... SO, when planning i wanted to make everything perfect & extra special.}

margarita cupcakes with tequila lime icing

feta black bean dip {compliments of laura, thank you!}

chicken quesadillas

mexican veggie roll-ups
{other menu items included beef empanadas, que pasta mac & cheese, guacamole, and queso = heaven}

the margarita/drink station {loved this one with callie in the background!}

again

beth & i worked really hard on a slideshow for brian's 30th birthday bash, and for her party i wanted to do something equally as special...so here we have what we'll call "beth: the last 30 years." the photos range from little beth in her homemade teela costume, to softball beth {and friends} in high school, to beth preforming on various stages, to beth & brian at the psychedelic social at auburn, to wedding day beth, to beth with all of her best friends & family throughout the years.

beth's birthday cake is from rolen's bakery in dothan
{this is the same cake she's had for most every birthday for the last almost 30 years... thank you, linda!}

callie, beth's oldest friend – since 3 year old preschool {you do the math, that's just 17 days short of 27 years!!}

friends first, sisters-in-law second {right beth? ha!}

birthday girl's brother & bradley

callie & emily

some kd girls – lorie, brooke, kris, bethy

jessica & laura

brooke & beth

family

all the girls

beth & dustin, beth getting ready to blow out her candles

and one more little party guest...wyatt. aww!!

Beth had a great time at her party & we had a great time celebrating the first 30 years of her life! The celebration has only just begun. Happy 30th Birthday to one of my besties, and someone who Brian & I both feel blessed to call you "sister."
