I've been tagged by Stephanie. She asks that I list some of my weirdo quirks. So, here goes....
1. Time left on the microwave.
This one sticks out in my mind because brian & I have discussed, and we often discuss it at work. I can't stand when there is time left on the microwave. I like to have it cleared out. it's something that annoys so much, but when I'm home by myself & find the microwave this way I actually don't mind it - makes me miss my hubby, because of course he leaves time on the microwave each morning when he makes his omlet!
2. Big fork, little spoon.
I like to eat with the bigger fork, dinner fork, and the smaller spoons. Weird? Maybe so.
3. Even numbers.
The always make sure the volume, whether in my car or on the tv, is on an even number. In fact, I make sure most everything in my little world is an even number. It just makes sense to me.
4. To-do lists.
One of my most favorite things - to-do lists. I love the act of checking it off. i'm one of those people that writes something down just to cross it off. Lists make me happy.
5. Impatience.
Brian pointed this one out to me:) he says I'm impatient when i want things done. Hmm, yes, I am. I'll admit it. This one actually follows #4 - when there is something on my list (or not on my list for that matter) I want to take care of it asap. This doesn't always mesh well with my husband's more "laid back" demeanor - I'm getting better though, he's rubbing off on me.
6. Talking to my mom?
Let me set the record straight, that I do NOT think this is a quirk - but I needed one more to make six! I asked Brian to tell me something I do a lot & he said, "talk to your mom." Ha! I talk to mom every day - about 1/2 a dozen times. We talk on the way to work, during lunch, a couple times throughout the day, on the way home from work, sometimes at night.... you get the picture. Mom & Nana (her mom) used to talk this frequently too, and the one day they didn't talk happened to be the day my Pop-pop had a heart attack. So, maybe we don't talk for this same reason, or out of fear, but yes we do talk excessively - and I love it!! If this was a "quirk" it'd be the best one I've got:)
So, after re-reading this list, I am seeing a pattern - most of my "quirks" look more like OCD tendencies.
Okay, per Steph's request, let's keep the crazy going. I tag Steph, Kelly, Elliot, Emily, Lauren M., Rach, and Lauren H. Go!!
