A few years ago (read: 2008) Brian and I spent a few days in New York together. There are three things that we did that stand out to me as favorites from that trip: 1. the preseason Giants vs. Jets game, 2. Wicked on Broadway, and 3. a dinner cruise on the Hudson.
We enjoyed Wicked so much and have been wanting to see it again, so when I saw that it was coming to the Fox I snatched up some tickets.
Now that we've got kids, we are much more intentional about spending time together. So, we got a room at the Georgian Terrace across the street and made an overnight date of it. We got to the hotel with plenty of time to enjoy the weather and a few toddies on the patio.
We met some friends at Einsteins (not the bakery) for dinner and headed to the Fox. I have to say, it was a lot of fun dressing up for a night out! Wicked was wonderful, but not *quite* as good as on Broadway.
After the show we walked across the street to our hotel for a nightcap. It was such a fun day/night!
