When my friend, Brittany, told me that she wanted to paint something for the nursery I was ecstatic – she's so creative and something so personal would be very special to us. She asked me for ideas of what kind of art we had in mind, a theme, etc. I'd seen this verse in another nursery, and loved the idea of having it painted for Owen's.
This verse is so rich – it's one that I remember reading through many times my junior/senior year at Auburn. And when I read the notes I'd written back then, I realized it was such a natural fit for our nursery.
In reading through it you can't help but picture God's throne as a rocking chair. We are "quieted by His love" when He pulls us (His children) close and whispers, "shh, I'm right here" – and I can imagine rocking Owen this way, saying "shh, mommy's right here." It reminds us that God is our Father, our parent. He nurtures us and holds us in His arms. He covers us with His love. He takes great pleasure in loving us.
I'm so grateful for this painting and love reading through it each time I'm in the nursery. We're praying that Owen would know God's love for him at an early age.

Aw - you're so very welcome! It was honor and I'm glad you like it! There's no doubt baby Owen will have an amazing Mommy with the biggest heart in the world (and can cook too!) and we're all thankful God put you in our lives!! ;)
