Here's the story: Last December we finally realized (after a little encouragement from family/friends) that Grey needed a friend. I called Mary at the ranch, who said she had two 2-year-old huskies that needed good homes. Willow had had her second litter of puppies just 8 weeks earlier. After Mary's girls have a litter or two of puppies she likes to find them homes that will spay & spoil them. That's where we came in.
Just a few days before Christmas we drove to the ranch to get Wills, who was in one of the pins when we arrived. There were also a few babies (from other litters) in other pins, waiting to be picked up. When Mary let Willow out of the pin she immediately ran to the side of the babies who were crying. Talk about tugging heart strings!! On the way home we talked about how we weren't sure what to expect in bringing her home, but we haven't thought twice about it since.
Wills is truly the most loving, sweet-tempered dog we've ever been around. She's a 45 pound lap dog that will kiss your face off if you let her! She loves kids & babies – just last weekend she watched movies on our bed with Lily, and followed Laura around so she could be near baby Wyatt. She's been the best sister to Grey. She LOVES her toys, her pine straw nest, and her parents. And she's finally learned to sleep late on Saturdays (great timing, huh?).
Happy Birthday to our sweet Will Will!
