Thursday starts the weekend off for me, and there's nothing better than meeting the girls on a Thursday afternoon for dinner & drinks! This past Thursday we (Brooke, Beth, Fran, and me - "Sex and the City girls") met at Jackson's & celebrated Beth's Birthday (early). There is never a dull moment when we're together & I am so grateful to have such dear friends!

We stayed in Birmingham last weekend... can you believe it? Brian was in Atlanta last week for a work "workshop" and we leave this Wednesday for DISNEY, so staying home was the most appealing option for the weekend. We sold our AU/TN tickets & planned a party! "Beth's Birthday, Auburn Style." Friends & family came over for a day of football and birthday celebration... what a fun day it was! I've included some pictures... the spread
Brian putting the fogger to use... Jay, Richard & Burton, thanks for a great gift, it got rid of mosquitoes and provided entertainment (Clay ran through the fog like the football players on gameday!)

the birthday girl blowing out her candles - this is a Roland's cake (if you're from Dothan you know what I'm talking about) & Beth has gotten one every year since she was a little girl

At half time Beth, my MIL, and Beth's MIL went to Yucatan Trading Co., and found some great things! Though we've been in our house for almost a year, I have yet to finish decorating our guest rooms. The bedding, we've got (thanks Santa), but I haven't really hung much on the walls or anything else. I was able to check a few things off my list this weekend: a piece(s) of iron, and a few lamps. I'll post more pictures once I finish decorating!

We leave for Disney World on Wednesday, (our flight is at 5AM - did I mention neither of us are morning people?), for a Fredrickson family vacation. We're really looking forward to getting away & Brian hasn't been to Disney since he was 7 years old. If you know my family, you know that that is WAY too long! Mom & Dad (particularly mom) love Disney (well, we all do) - they actually spent their honeymoon there! Kelly & I have many a memory in Disney growing up. Caleb has gone twice himself; once with his Nanny & Aunt Kris and once with his mommy. Wednesday just happens to be his 5th Birthday, so it will be an extra special trip! I'll post pictures when we return!Oh - we still haven't decided on a puppy name yet. If anyone has suggestions, we welcome them!
