There are so many things I love about Brian, but at the top of the list is the fact that he is truly an extraordinary dad. I learn how to be a better mom by watching him. He parents in the very best way.
Brian is connected, involved and up to his eyeballs in parenting. Most days he takes Owen to school in the morning and picks him up in the afternoon, he attends most every doctor's appointment (pregnancy-related and pediatrician), he shares mealtimes, bathtimes and bedtimes. Brian makes memories, plays pretend, disciplines lovingly, tells stories and wrestles. He is my partner in this crazy, messy work that is parenting—and I want to be more like him.
Thank you, Brian, for being an example to me of the kind of parent I want to be. Thank you for changing a million diapers, for reading a million books, pretending a million times. Thank you for being my partner in parenting. I learn so much from you daily. Owen (and baby girl) are so incredibly blessed to have a dad like you.
Happy Father's Day!
