This is my last "monthly milestone" post before Owen turns a year old, which is so very surreal to me. I can hardly believe that eleven months have passed since this little fireball came into our lives. What a fun age he is! I know it will only get better, but right now we love watching his little personality develop. The word that best describes Owen right now is: MOBILE!
Things I want to remember about Owen in his eleventh month:

– he now has 7 teeth that are visible & I think 1 or 2 in the very back (check out the close-up photos below)
– it took him a few days of taking steps & crawling if he wanted to get somewhere quickly, but he has now mastered walking (and running off with things)
– he is extremely curious & seems purposeful with his curiosity
– we call him our little parrot b/c he copies everything
– he weighs in at 24 1/2-ish pounds
– Brian & I have also affectionately called him "chunky" when talking about him to each other (since early in his little life), but I think we may need to let-go of that "nickname" before it sticks (or he knows what we're saying)!
– tricks this month include: his fish face, "rolling with the homies" (which is rolling is arms like "wheels on the bus"), shaking his head "no" when we say "no" or "noooooooo"
– no more baby food
– his favorite food seems to be grapes, but he eats/tries pretty much everything put in front of him
– he's getting better about cuddling, especially in the mornings & at night
– he weighs in at 24 1/2-ish pounds

– he developed a double ear infection this month, that has just come back again
– he loves water & puts his face in his bath water
– one morning i caught him eating puffs out of his bowl with no hands (like the husky girls)

– he has put nerf balls in his mouth (also like his husky sisters)
– after consulting the pediatrician, we've turned his car seat around & he loves it!
– he still drinks water out of sippy cups
I cannot express, in words, how much my heart has grown in the last eleven months. The reminiscing has begun & all bets are off when it comes to keeping my eyes dry!
