The word I would use to best describe Owen's tenth month of life is: ACTIVE. I know he won't be slowing down anytime soon, but we have really enjoyed watching him "grow" and figure things out in this stage. It amazes me how inquisitive he is & I would just love to know what he's thinking sometimes!
Things I would like to remember from O's tenth month:
– he took his first few steps! B saw him do it first, but I told him I wouldn't count it until I saw it too:) Now that I've seen it (!!!), I'm documenting it under month #10.
– he loves doing his "indian call" sound
– he belly laughs & it is the most adorable thing I've ever heard. I just can't get enough of it.
– he rarely cuddles, but when he does it's the sweetest thing!
– he's teething like crazy – they all seem to be breaking through at once. first his bottom right tooth, then the one two over (to the left) from that, then the top right, now the bottom left. There may be one in the back too, but he won't let me feel it. Since they all seem to be coming at once & he's not eating much, we've dream-fed him a couple nights. *this just in... three front top teeth have popped through – for a grand total of 6 definite & maybe one in the back*
– he is always on the move. His walkers are still his favorite & he whips them around the room like it's nobody's business.
– he has mastered drinking out of his sippy cup
– it's absolutely impossible to change his diaper laying down
– we think grey taught him to growl. however he learned, he loves doing it & does it frequently.
– daddy says he's growing a rat tail. It's definitely long on top & in the back, with the sweetest little curls.
– he definitely knows who his mommy & daddy are!
Every day is truly more fun than the last, just like "they" said it would be. The early months were tough & more exhausting than I ever imagined, but completely worth it. And to be honest, I'm a little saddened to think that his first year is coming to an end. Each moment we have with this little boy is such a blessing. He & his daddy make my world go round.
Had I known how active our little boy would be, I would have started taking these photos upright in a chair! This child does not like to lay flat on his back – not even to change a diaper!
