Today I turn 30. This birthday has always seemed so far away, but now it's here. It feels so much different than I imagined it would. It's not so bad :)

I had a grand idea of gathering & posting birthday photos from each of the last 30 years, but alas, I've gathered only the last decade (+) worth. As I sifted through photos there were two constant themes – good friends & cookie cake! Here's a look back:

19:
the last year before my 20's
a year of growing relationships with new friends & enjoying auburn

20:
not a teen anymore!
here i am with my sweet roommates from college

21:
oh, twenty-one
senior year at auburn – the end of an era

22:
officially on my own
moved to birmingham, started working – a year of figuring it all out

23
(i need to do more digging to find one from 23)

24
(no photos from 24 – this was the year the robbers took my camera!)

25:
quarter of a century
a celebration with dear old friends! also the year brian & i started dating

26:
a year of celebration
the year my sister-in-law & brother-in-law got married (see below) and the year brian & i got married

27:
a fun year of travel
brian & me in new york

28:
a year of blessings in disguise
more cookie cake (i could do an entire post with photos of the cookie cakes!)

29:
the end of my twenties & beginning of new life
the year added to our family with baby owen!

30:
the beginning of a new decade

I have been (more than) well celebrated – dinner with friends, a weekend away with my husband, flowers delivered to work from my favorite girls, lots of facebook love, a night spent with my family in Atlanta and cookie cake! Best of all though – time spent snuggling with my boys (and pups) this morning & spending the night doing the same!

From what I have heard, 30 will bring with it many amazing things. My heart is so full right now that I can't imagine what's ahead. Cheers to the memories of the first 30 – and cheers to making new memories in the next 30! Thank you, husband – and thank you, family & friends, for loving me so well! I am very blessed!

I love this post! So creative. I don't think I even have pictures from 19-30, which is why I love you all the more. And the pictures of blowing out the cakes are priceless!
