happy {belated} fourth of july

When my sister heard that we were staying put for the 4th, she asked if she could come to Birmingham to watch this little man (and his sisters)...

Our instructions were to spend the day together (away from the house). We started off here – the Birmingham Museum of Art's "Who Shot Rock & Roll" Exhibit...

then found ourselves poolside...

and ended the day with wine & dinner.

The day together was the perfect way to recharge our batteries! We sure missed this little chunk, though...

And this little girl (and her sis), too...
