I've always wanted to be a couple that exercises together. It's something we both like to do, so why not do it together? Since we've been married I've been asking Brian if I can workout with him (you know, for accountability). Sunday he gave in to me in the name of hill sprints. I didn't think they'd be too hard, after all he only challenged me with TWO. Setting the bar a little low, huh?
Brian always tells me that his workouts consist only of things written in the Book of Awesome. In the so called Book of Awesome you simply ask yourself if what you're doing is awesome. Example: Ask yourself, is doing the elliptical machine for 30 minutes awesome? The book says no. Is running hill sprints awesome? Yes. It's just that easy.
I, for one, have not completely bought into the (fictional) Book of Awesome, but I think my husband is pretty awesome so what the hey! Sunday = Day One
the warm up route

The picture below is of Brian running his first of 10. I've used the handy circles/arrows to show you what the hill looks like. We start at the lamp post at the bottom & run to the top.

Day One went well, I was really proud of myself. So proud that I sat down after my TWO & watched Brian run the rest of his 8!
