Gutters Make This Girl Happy

After we moved into our house we quickly realized that the gutters were left off the back of our house. Don't you just love being a grown up? Here's the thing...

No gutters + dormant sod + heavy rain + 2 huskies = a muddy backyard

Exciting news! We had gutters put on the house last week, which means we were finally able to take care of the mud problem. We spent Saturday morning laying sod in the backyard where the mud was most present & then spent Sunday afternoon basking in the beautiful weather while planing flowers. So, here's the what we have now...

No mud in the backyard + no fur on the huskies = minimal fur + dirt inside = happy husky parents

The rest of our weekend included an impromptu date night with my babe, a crawfish boil with the neighbors and having dinner with dear friends.

ps – Happy Mother's Day to our moms, both of which we are eternally grateful & constantly thank Him for; to my sister, who is an amazing mom to a 6 year old that wants to spend his tooth fairy money on a date with his mommy; and to all our mommy friends, old, new & expectant.
