some things never change...

This past weekend was very busy for us - friends & family were in town for Clay & Jeanna's His & Hers shower. We were able to entertain & had rooms filled with spend the night company - it was a great time!

Sunday, Brian, Linda (my mother in law) & I sat on the front porch and went through a box of old family photos. Seeing Brian as a kid/growing up was fun, and we've determined our kids could very possibly be red-headed with freckles:)
aren't they adorable? check out B's underoos...
But, the title of this post refers to this treasure, that I found in the box... it's a little something Brian wrote when he was 8 years old. What attracted me to it is that, with his 8 year old mind, he wrote something that would remain true for him even as a 31 year old man. Just in case it's not legible it says:
"Sometimes when I am in a bad mood I get very mad and fussy. I am very hard to talk to when I am in a bad mood. I do not really want to play with anybody when I am in a bad mood. Sometimes my mom fusses at me. I get cheered up by making something out of wood or playing video games."

(hey, at least we know he's happy & not fussy!)
