fantasy football has begun...

every year brian looks forward to august and the weekend of his fantasy football draft. friday night was the trophy ceremony (recognizing the winners of last year), the drawing for draft pick order, and a cookout. saturday the guys spent the day at taco mac picking their teams. it's pretty understood that during this weekend is 100% football, and they take it VERY seriously!

while the guys were busy playing, i was able to spend the day with mom. we had a great time, it's so nice to have her to myself sometimes. we shopped a little, had some girl time with kelly getting pedicures and then met dad for dinner. brian & dad LOVE ham loaf (meat loaf, but with ham)... so we made some to stock up the freezer, 8 loafs!!!

then today started the beginning of my birthday week, we went to lunch with the fam. kel gave me some trolli eggs... if you haven't ever had any, you must! they are really hard to find & i haven't had any in years... we used to store rations of them under our beds.

all in all, it was a great weekend, and now we're gearing up for NY!
